Use just a USB stick or memory card to do computing on any available PC.
How? By installing portable applications on your USB stick or memory card
- What is portable software?
- Where can you get it?
- How do you install it?
- How do you use it?
- What can you do with it? - just about anything
We all know about mobile computing using a tablet, laptop, or smart-phone. However these are not always available, or they may not be suitable for what we want to do. But with the right portable software on a USB stick or memory card and you can do your computing on any available PC.
“Portable software” applications can run from a single folder (usually on a removable device) without adding any files or Registry entries to the host system.
It is not too difficult to have a suite of apps for all purposes on your USB stick – effectively a "PC in your pocket".
If you can boot off a suitable PC you can even run your entire operating system from your USB stick.
